BOWRING PARK was a very busy place this morning. A lot of people were out walking around the park and taking advantage of the recent sunshine and 'near spring' weather. Several members of the birding community were getting very close views of the variety of birds in the park, particularly the waterfowl.

The highlight was the pair of WOOD DUCKS that appeared a few days ago.
The trio of DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS have been around for most of the winter.

There was a great deal of entertainment provided by a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK that kept chasing a crow in and around the area of the duck pond. It looked more like playing and frequently the two would perch in the same tree near each other.
