My first birding adventure on the Burin Peninsula started late this afternoon. These are a few quick highlights:
At the intersection with the TCH
-Two Greater Yellowlegs
-Canada Geese
-American Black Ducks
Terrenceville
main highlights were:
-at least 12 Greater Yellowlegs feeding among a large flock of Ring-billed Gulls
-my first great looks at a Ruffed Grouse, smack on the yellow line heading out of town
The Osprey is in its nest on the left side of the road heading towards Marystown.
