An undeniable sign of a waning, if not already gone summer is a Snow Bunting.
Saw one today on my vessel 325 km east of Cape Race. Also out here today -
Peregrine Falcon - 1
Merlin - 1
Dark-eyed Junco - 1
Ruddy Turnstone - 1
Semipalmated Sandpiper - 1
Lesser Black-backed Gull - 25 + on base of Hibernia around the large flock of GBBGs. All but three are juveniles.
Great Skua - 1 adult heavily striped, nice view in bright light as it investigated some Sooty Shearwaters following a pod of Atlantic White-sided Dolphins.
