On 2/17/16/15 at 6:11p.m., Newton Police responded to a Pine Street residence for a report of an unresponsive male.
Upon arrival at the scene, patrols observed the 58 year old male to be unconscious, unresponsive and in respiratory distress in the bedroom while displaying signs and symptoms that were consistent with an opiate overdose.
As a result, responding patrols performed rescue breathing and administered 2 doses of Naloxone and he regained consciousness. He was then transported to the Newton Medical Center by Newton First Aid Squad assisted by St. Clare’s paramedics.
