Arrest - Sexual Assault, Endangering The Welfare of a Child

A cooperative investigation was initiated by Detectives from the Newton Police Department and the Sussex County Prosecutor's Office in February 2017 after information was received of an alleged sexual assault of a juvenile.

At the conclusion of the investigation, James L. Roff, age 32, of Archbald, Pennsylvania was charged with the following offenses:

N.J.S. 2C:14-2b  Sexual Assault (2nd Degree)  

N.J.S. 2C:24-4a  Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2nd Degree)

He was lodged in the Sussex County Jail pending a hearing pursuant to the Criminal Justice Reform Act.
