MV Stop/Arrest - Possession of CDS, Drug Paraphernalia

On 6/8/19 at about 11:30 pm, Sgt. Michael Monaco and Ptl. Steve Shawger stopped a vehicle for speeding on Sparta Avenue.

A subsequent motor vehicle stop was conducted and after a brief investigation, a quantity of marijuana and a pipe used for smoking marijuana were recovered from inside of the vehicle.

As a result, the driver identified as Zachary A. Zoppy, age 18, of Andover Twp. was arrested and charged with the following:

N.J.S. 2C:35-10a(4)    Possession of C.D.S.   (Disorderly Persons)

N.J.S. 2C:36-2             Possession of Drug Paraphernalia   (Disorderly Persons)

 

He was also issued for the following motor vehicle offenses

39:4-98      Speeding

39:3-29a    Failure to Possess a Driver’s License

39:3-29b    Failure to Possess Registration  

39:4-49.1.  C.D.S.in a motor vehicle

 

Zoppy was processed and released pending court.
