On 10/28/18 at approximately 10:00p.m., Ptl. Jared Zappa
stopped a motor vehicle for having an obstructed windshield and license
plate.
Subsequent investigation revealed that the operator of the vehicle, identified as Denise Chambliss, age 61, of Newton was in possession of (4) bags of crack cocaine, a suboxone tablet and drug paraphernalia. (Spoons to cook cocaine).
As a result, Chambliss was charged with the following offenses:
N.J.S. 2C:35-10a(1) Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance (2 counts) (3rd Degree)
N.J.S. 2C:36-2 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Disorderly
Persons)
Chambliss was also issued summonses for:
39:3-74 View Obstruction
39:3-33 Improper Display-Fictitious Plates
39:4-49.1 Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance in a Motor Vehicle
She was released pending an 11/14/18 appearance in Sussex County Superior Court.
