Arrest - Obstruction, Violation of Town Ordinances (2)

On 6/8/19 6:39.p.m., Newton Police again encountered Vincent Scardino Jr., age 49, of Andover to be present within Memory Park during Newton Day festivities.  Upon speaking with Scardino, officers observed that he was under the influence of alcohol and in possession of 2 bottles of alcohol.  Scardino refused to comply with officers repeated requests to leave the park and attempted to regain possession of the alcoholic beverages.

 

As a result, Scardino was arrested for the following:

N.J.S. 2C:29-1   Obstruction (Disorderly Persons)

 

In addition, he was issued two town ordinance summonses for:

200-2b(15)  Being Intoxicated While Present within the Town Park

200-2b(15)  Possession of Alcoholic Beverages in Town Park
