M.V. Stop/C.D.S. Arrest

On 12/18/19 at 12:15 am, Ptl. John Flanagan was conducting a traffic detail on Water Street when he observed a vehicle speeding as it traveled southbound. 

As a result, the vehicle was stopped on High Street for the violation. Subsequent investigation revealed that the driver, identified as Brian Dolisi, age 38, of Rockaway, NJ, was in possession of under 50 grams of suspected marijuana, several pieces of drug paraphernalia used for processing and smoking marijuana, and 3 THC oil vape pens. 

Dolisi was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:

N.J.S. 2C:35-10a(4) (Poss.of Under 50 grams of Marijuana/Poss of THC Oil (2 Counts), (DP Offense)

N.J.S. 2C:36-2, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (DP Offense)

Dolisi was also issued motor vehicle summonses for the following:

39:4-98 Speeding

39:3-40    Driving While DL/Registration is Suspended

39:4-49.1 Possession of a Narcotic in a Motor Vehicle

39:3-29b  Failure to Possess a Registration Card

39:3-36    Failure to Notify DMV of an Address Change

Dolisi was released with a mandatory court appearance in Newton Municipal Court on 1/14/20 at 9:00 am.
