I blew up the image and lost some work. Is there a way to file in NS`
code from the changes in a change browser?

thanks,
Robert

I'd still like to know if this is possible but I did it by hand to keep
moving.

Another issue arose and this I do not know the answer too. I couldn't
find anything in the tutorial or the FFI docs about how to import, just
that that is a source of red underling. How can I import struct classes
from the category, but not in the class scope I need to import to?.

Hi Robert,

Alas no.  I've implemented various hacks at various points but we've never been able to support a useful Smalltalk-like change log/crash recovery tool for Newspeak.  It's a major weakness, but at least the text is written to the changes file so, ass you discovered, one can do it manually.

thanks,
Robert

Let me add that we've never been too keen on doing things that way. At one point, the IDE maintained a mercurial workspace such that every change was committed to it, so you could retrieve everything via source control. THis stopped working at some point, due to some issue with OSProcess, I believe. What we should do is fix that.

Hey guys,

It sounds like the workbench worked. It's kind of file-based oriented, isn't it. I want to load a twitter client I saw somewhere.

I did get to use the change list to manually recover, you're right.

best
Robert
