Saw the clock already on YouTube.
No dispute for tastes, but besides that, the price is (ridiculous) high.

What does he care? He was only asking for $6000 on Kickstarter and raised nearly $20,000. I've seen other primitive Nixie projects on Kickstarter raise similarly unbelievable amounts.

What I want to know is, who are these people willing to hand over that sort of money. Obviously Kickstarter is the place to find them.

Thought I would chip in with my two-penneth..

I also make Steampunk NIxie clocks, but don't ask stupid amounts of money - I'm finding most people now approach me and ask me to make one for them.
I don't do it for the cash - I simply like making the clocks, but have to sell them to fund the next - and I have 7 already in my lounge, which is enough for anyone.

www.bad-dog-designs.co.uk if you've not seen what I come up with.

I would never dream of going on Kickstarter - I saw this guys clock, it is basically a 'Maestro' clock from PV electronics in a slab of wood with a couple of gooseneck microphone mounts bolted on the side.

Still - if people are crazy enough to spend that sort of money...
