Hi All,

Noted that Pete is selling off some of his NOS B-7971 Nixies http://www.pvelectronics.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=26_28&products_id=176
Seems to have quite a few too.

Not affiliated with Pete etc.. just saw it and thought may be of use.

Cheers,
Paul

I don't believe those are NOS.  If so, he should say it as it would probably command a premium.

One spot says 60-90 available.
Another spot says 14 in stock.

That converts to $92 each + plus shipping (he is very reasonable).  Not a bad buy at all.

I chatted with Pete this afternoon and he still has some left but has sold more than half of the 90 that he started with.  The photos show Ultronics markings on the tubes so they are likely the usual pulls from their displays.  On the plus side, PV Electronics is a known and reliable supplier compared to going out on eBay and taking your chances…

If someone on this forum ends up buying a set of six, drop me a line. I'm starting the design of my own 7971 clock, which will be controlled by an Arduino board. I'll be happy to share ideas and provide you a PCB when I'm done.

I have plenty of these tubes.

I would be interested in your Arduino design and board.
