Hi all, i just started using neo4j desktop (previously i downloaded / used the .zip file distributions) and this looks like a very handy frontend for the neo4j database!!. I noticed a few things

1) it looks like i cannot download the .zip file based community distribution anymore but now i get the neo4j enterprise edition which installs locally somewhere down the ..\AppData\Roaming\Neo4j Desktop\.. path..
Is it correct to assume that i now can use all functionality that is part of the enterprise edition ??   When i run for example the :queries command i still get a message that i cannot run it -
Unable to display
:queries because the procedures required to run this frame are missing. These procedures are usually found in Neo4j Enterprise edition.
Is this correct ?

2) when i install the apoc library through the neo4j desktop interface it neatly downloads this library but it does not automatically update the neo4j.conf file to enable the procedures to run
through adding the line :   dbms.security.procedures.unrestricted=apoc*    which was required previously ?   is this not required anymore ?

3) i also manually installed a plugin named "graph-algorithms-algo-3.3.0.0"  and it would be nice if that would popup in the plugins part too ?   And result in a neo4j.conf line item to enable it

thanks

Regards Koen

As an update for #1. it now seems that the :queries command seems to works as expected. Not sure what has been changed besides adding dbms.security.procedures.unrestricted=* to the conf file ..   anyways thats nice..

Depends which edition you use when creating the database.

Still in Enterprise, see above.

Still required for some procedures, not for all. You can edit settings directly in desktop.

3) i also manually installed a plugin named "graph-algorithms-algo-3.3.0.0"  and it would be nice if that would popup in the plugins part too ?   And result in a neo4j.conf line item to enable it

It's planned.

thanks

thanks michael
i copied a database from the 3.3 community edition across so that might be the reason.
#2 was more kind of suggestion to automate the update of the conf file if you download the plugin library.. but i already did it manually

best regards koen
