Neo4J: modelling a query

So let's take an example of email conversations between 2 individuals. each email will have an id, subject, and msg. now I'm first modeling the graph with the key as subject such that when I query for the subject it provides me the whole conversation. now if I model it lets say with respect to the sender. now if I query the subject can neo4J supply me the whole link of conversations as I got in case 1.
