I can tell you what NOT to do. In downtown Waltham I saw an abandoned RR which looked like it might be a trail and
might be ridable just north of School St. Well... It's not. It was fun for about 100ft but then the path along the side
disappeared and the gaps between the ties were too large to ride, at least with my 28mm tired brevet bike. It was fun
looking at the old switch, however.
Not local but I did some exploring along the fire roads in Rhode Island's Pulaski conversation area last week and that was
really nice. When I saw a hunter walking back to his car I was starting to wish I had less green and more orange.
