Best practice for detecting browser PNaCl support in my web app?

I want to show users a "sorry" message when they visit my PNaCl-using web app with an unsupported browser. What's the best way to detect this in javascript? Get the user agent? Surely there must be something more direct.

The recommend way is:

var hasPnacl = navigator.mimeTypes['application/x-pnacl'] !== undefined;
