Bihar Election Watch and Association for Democratic Reforms have analysed the self-sworn affidavits of newly elected 29 ministers including Chief Minister from Bihar State Assembly, 2017. Below are the summary and highlights of the report:

· Ministers with Criminal Cases: 22 (76%) ministers have declared criminal cases against themselves. In the previous cabinet ministers of Bihar, 19 (68%) out of the 28 ministers analysed had declared criminal cases against themselves.
· Ministers with Serious Criminal Cases: Out of the 22 ministers who have declared criminal cases, 9 have declared serious criminal cases against themselves.

· Average Assets: The average assets of 29 ministers is Rs 2.46 crores.
· Ministers with Highest Assets: The minister with the highest declared total assets is Vijay Kumar Sinha from Lakshisarai constituency with assets worth Rs.15.64 crores. The top three ministers with highest declared assets are:

· Ministers’ Age: A total of 11 (38%) ministers have declared their age to be between 31-50 years while 18(62%) ministers have declared their age to be between 51-70 years.
· Women Ministers: Out of 29 Ministers, only 1(3%) is a woman. In the previous cabinet of ministers, out of 28 Ministers, 2(7%) were women.
