Dear Evan Dayringer,

We are pleased that you have enrolled in the HEAR on the Farm study.  We’re looking for more participants, and ask you to invite your farmer/rancher friends and relatives to enroll in the study as well.  Like yourself, they will have the opportunity to enjoy some cash and, more importantly, learn about how to prevent hearing loss on the farm, and contribute to the development of better safety programs for farmers.  Please consider forwarding this message, along with a personal note from you, to one or more persons who might be interested in participating.  Instructions for enrolling are included below.

Also, within weeks, you can expect to receive a reminder email to log on to the hearonthefarm.org website for your 6-month short set of questions.

Much thanks, and please stay safe out there.

By participating, you’ll earn up to $40, and contribute to improved safety programs for farmers.  (Of course, your participation is voluntary, and you may withdraw at any time.)  When you enroll, we’ll ask a series of questions (online) that will take you about 10 minutes to respond.  You’ll be asked a similar series of questions again after 6 and 12 months.  You will receive payments after responding to each set of questions.  Some participants will also receive a free sampler of hearing protectors valued at $30.   Feel free to forward this message to other farmers (18 years old and above).

To enroll,

a.       Go to www.hearonthefarm.org (or copy and paste this address into your browser, then click enter).

b.      Enter the access code (saveears) in the “New Users” section.

c.    Follow the online instructions.
