Dear colleagues,

MyJustice is pleased to announce the launch of the first round call for concept notes for civil society organisations wishing to apply for MyJustice grants. [Click to visit the website]

MyJustice is a 4-year European Union-funded programme implemented by the British Council which aims to equip people in Myanmar to have the knowledge, confidence and opportunities to have their disputes fairly and equitably resolved. Working together with local communities, MyJustice aims to have a lasting impact on the way disputes are resolved and justice is delivered, especially for the poor, vulnerable and marginalised, and subscribes to three key principles

  • MyJustice will be people-centred, to encourage learning, trust and collaboration between communities, civil society, legal professionals and justice institutions.
  • MyJustice will be community-driven and locally led, to empower communities to identify and deliver solutions to the challenges they face.
  • MyJustice will be powered by evidence, to build a deep understanding of Myanmar’s unique socio-cultural and political context, upon which locally owned solutions can be developed.

Under this call there are two types of grants available: Programme grants and Project grants.

  • Programme grants are aimed at more experienced organisations and preference will be given to applications from consortia of organisations working together.
  • Project grants have been designed to enable smaller Myanmar civil society organisations, with more limited experience, to submit concepts.

Full guidance on how to apply for both programme and project grants can be down loaded here. It is important that you read the guidance carefully before considering your application.[Click to download the guidance]

The concept note template which must be used for applications can be found here[Click to download the concept note template]

If after reading the guidance the you have any questions regarding this call please contact the MyJustice team at myju...@mm.britishcouncil.org

We look forward to hearing from you!

Best regards,

Susan
