Penetration Testing Service

Has anyone ever used a penetration testing service or software that you would recommend (or not recommend)?

One of our concerns, of course, is ensuring they are trustworthy and confidential.

For basic testing on-the-fly and out-in-the-field, I usually:

1. Go to www.grc.com (GIBSON RESEARCH CORPORATION) and run their
testing software.

For more advanced testing:

1. Go to http://www.matousec.com and work with their Security
Software Testing Suite (SSTS)
