hey roland,

the recording tool is called "recordMyDesktop" (available from the
software center in Ubuntu. free, of course). It's simple and seems
to work pretty well for screencasts.

Thanks, I'll play with it a bit. The quality looked quite good, better than some of the free options I have on Windows.
