Erfahrung mit Debian auf Dell-Laptops

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren
wir haben im Laptop-Umfeld die Produkte von DELL - Latitude C6xx im Einsatz.
Sind beim Einsatz dieser Produkte Probleme bekannt, da wir DEBION auf diesen
Geräten evt. als Entwicklungsplattform nutzen wollen?
Eine kurze Information wäre hilfreich und könnte uns unter Umständen sehr viel
Testaufwand ersparen!

She's asking if the Latitude C6xx Series works well with Debian.
Writing this on a Latitude C610, I can say that yes, it works
perfectly. The only thing that I don't have working yet is the
internal WinModem.

Think she's asking: They want to ship Dell Latitude C6xx laptops with
Debian installed; are there any known problems with this combination;
any information could save them loads of testing.

I'm running Debian on a Dell Latitude c610. Almost everything works
flawlessly, the only problem I have is that it fails to turn off its LCD
screen when using an external monitor at a higher resolution and/or
refresh rate than the LCD can handle (e.g., anything above
1024x768@60Hz). Rather annoying, even a BIOS upgrade didn't solve the
problem so I'm not especially thrilled about Dell at this time. :-(
Other than that, everything works fine.
