Hi all

so i have been having issue with both  mbsync and offlineimap in the last years and just couldent get them to reliably play nice with mu4e

today i saw this:

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?

i have tried it and it seems to be indeed storing my gmail mail in maildir format but the directory structure seems very different from mbsync/offlineimap and i couldnt get mu/mu4e to work with this

any tips would be greatly appreciated

best

TB support for maildir is incomplete. See:

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=845952

I wouldn't recommend using TB with maildir storage even for stand-alone
use, let alone as a sync tool.

I searched for maildir compatible solutions before finding mu4e
and as Yuri says, Thunderbird support for maildir is not ok, at
least yet.

I tried both offlineimap and mbsync and -as many others reported
too- found the second to be much more reliable, fast and less
resource hungry.

If you don't mind, maybe we can help to diagnose what happened
with mbsync?

Best...
