Hi,

I'm not able to verify valid smime signatures.

The mail has a valid signature made with the certificate of the sender and sent with Thunderbird.

When I try to verify it I get :

mu verify --verbose 1522248556.15907_1.marvin\,U\=2598\:2\,S
mu: error verifying signature: Cannot verify multipart/signed part: unsupported signature protocol 'application/pkcs7-signature'.
verdict: no signature found

On the other hand, I manage to sign my proper emails using smime and my personnal certificate, but when I try to verify one I get :

 mu verify --verbose 1522238957.10783_1.marvin\,U\=168\:2\,S
mu: error verifying signature: Cannot verify multipart/signed part: signature content-type does not match protocol.
verdict: no signature found

Same error for the same email from my Sent folder

I configured emacs's smime group as un the documentation : https://www.emacswiki.org/emacs/GnusSMIME

Can you help me out ?

Regards,

Jonathan

Hi Jonathan,
mu4e doesn't currently support s/mime; the Gnus instruction don't quite
apply. It might not be very hard to add support (in mu4e at least);
but... it's not there right now.

Kind regards,
Dirk.
