Hello,

not sure it is possible but I'll ask anyway: I want to mark my own
mail directly out of procmail processing. I am not certain it is
related to mu at all though. Is it possible or should I look to
something else ?

Remind: I am using POP here.

Thank you.

A partial answer may be found in
https://stackoverflow.com/questions/5882840/procmail-move-to-folder-and-mark-as-read

However, this reminds me of a thread about mail filtering from
inside the mu4e-emacsverse:

Thank you for these links. As far as I understand, it has nothing
to do with mu. Sorry for dwelling.

This only involve procmail recipes.

No problem at all. We're are all here to help. :)

Yes, but I keep wondering why can't we make it from inside, since
we have searches and actions...

Best regards.

Sure, I thought it could be done diretly with mu commands. Anyway,
procmail is also very convenient for me (along with basic shell
commands)

Hi Xavier.

If you can point in a general direction about how to do it, I
would be very grateful. :)

I assume that it would be something like:
+ a hook to run a function on certain condition (for example, when
the inbox is checked).
+ this function
+ marks messages according to certain search.
+ executes an action on those messages (like move, or mark as
read).
+ is a new indexing needed after that?

I know that this is probably trivial, but I'm slowly learning
elisp.

Thanks a lot.
Best...
