Hey,

I have a problem and maybe someone can help me.

I want to reply to a message that I sent before by myself, a message from my sent-folder.
But if i press R I get "error in process filter: No email account found".
This only happens when I reply to my own emails.

I have multiple accounts and use basically this configuration:

My version of mu4e is 0.9.16.C.

Any ideas?

best

Hi Simon,
Taking a look at the code, seems it tries to deduce the account from the
maildir in which a message lives, and these maildirs are mapped to the
accounts; I can see that wouldn't work for replying to yourself
e.g. from the "Sent" folder, since there's no corresponding account for
that. I suppose that code should fallback to asking about the account if
it cannot deduce it.

As a work-around, you could create an account "Sent" (or whatever your
sent-folder is called).

Anyway, I would recommend making the move to the newer "context" system
for dealing with multiple accounts (also described in the manual).

Kind regards,
Dirk.

It probably should. I originally wrote that code and it never occurred
to me that one might have mail dirs outside of any account, so I didn't
consider that possibility.

I second that suggestion. It might even be a good idea to remove the
"Multiple Accounts" section from the manual altogether.
