Dear all,

After long deliberations, the mu management team has decided that it's
time for a new mu/mu4e release. There have been a plenitude of new
features & fixes since 0.9.16 (which was released back in January), so
it's about time to consolidate them into a release.

We'll be trying to use Github's 'Releases' feature for that this time,
which allows for publishing build-ready tarballs. A tarball for the
0.9.17 pre-release should appear shortly[1].

We expect 0.9.18 to be ready in a few weeks. Until then, we'll work on
some bug-fixes and documentation updates. Everyone's welcome to join in
the fun!

Kind regards,
Dirk.

Hello Dirk-Jan,

Good news! I am happy to help as usual.
We would need the 5 key big changes for the 18 as well as spme sort of transitional release notes to tell people about the 0.9.17.

Best,

Charles.

Hello Dirk-Jan,

I noticed you have very recently updated the NEWS file : https://github.com/djcb/mu/blob/master/NEWS.org
If you think the list of changes for the 9.17 is done I'm happy to share it on the Internets.

Best,

Charles.

Apart from coding (which I don't do), how con we help? Can we install
pre-releases and run some scripted tests, or just use as normal and see
if something comes on?
