Does anyone know if the SIRR stops at Arthur Kill currently? Does the SIRR stop at Nassau or Atlantic currently? Wikipedia says the Arthur Kill station isn't set to open until January 2017, and is set to replace the Nassau and Atlantic stations.

However, the MTA's static GTFS data doesn't mention Arthur Kill, and does mention Nassau and Atlantic stations.
Also, the MTA's realtime data doesn't have data for Nassau and Atlantic stations, but does data for Arthur Kill.
Further, the official MTA map doesn't have an Arthur Kill station, it has the Nassau and Atlantic stations.

Can someone help clarify this situation?

Thanks!

I also have a question about this. This article (http://www.silive.com/news/index.ssf/2016/12/new_arthur_kill_sir_station_op.html) suggests Arthur Kill station may open this month. Does anyone know whether it opens in December or January for sure, and when the static GTFS feed will be updated?

Best,
Doug

Hi,

Any update on this? It would really help us to have a general timeframe this station is expected to open (i.e. this month vs a few months from now).

Are you planning to update the GTFS at some point? Aka remove the two closed station and add the new one? Or will it just be in the next GTFS (the current one is "valid" until 20171231)?

Thanks
Leo

Thanks Sam.  Just to clarify, it looks like the Nassau and Atlantic stations are still in the file.  The Staten Island Advance article referenced in one of the earlier posts states that the new Arthur Kill station "will replace the existing Nassau and Atlantic stations, which will be demolished".  If the article is correct, presumably the Nassau and Atlantic stations will continue to operate for some time?  Or perhaps they're not being used anymore but still included in the stops.txt file until they're actually demolished?

Thanks,
Steve

Atlantic and Nassau stations are no longer in service, and SIR/SIRR/SIRTOA trains will not stop at either station.  Arthur Kill is the stop.

Atlantic and Nassau will be removed in upcoming release of stations and routes.  The GTFS will remove the two stations in the near future.
