This is an interesting request.
I'm not an msn-pecan developer, but what I can tell you for sure, is
that your best bet is to file a bug report so developers (most likely
felipec) don't forget about your request.
You can raise the issue as an enhancement request in the "Issues"[1]
site and clicking the "New Issue" button.

In the Pidgin interface I see an "Add chat..." entry in the group context
menu, so there may be a chance to be used by the plugin for that. I
really have no idea how, though.
Maybe some real developer can provide a more through insight to this.
If you have any comments, please "reply to all", so the mailing list
is kept carbon-copied. BTW, if you can remove your signature images
from future messages it would be a big help for the mailing list.
