Hi,

Can MQTT work over GSM like 2G or 3G? Or just Wifi / Ethernet TCP IP protocol? It would interesting to work with some WAN protocol (even lorawan)

Facebook is using MQTT for Mobile. So it should work out of the box on GSM network:

You could investigate the Telit xE910 modules which support MQTT natively.
