MQTT performance evaluation help

Hello,

I am graduate student trying to measure MQTT's performance and they try to port MQTT to work with QUIC instead of TCP. I am not sure how this can be done? What tools do i use? Would MININET work in this scenario or is there other specific tool which would work better?
