Hello:

I am trying to compile mosquitto-1.4.5 with libwebsocket at the HEAD of the git repository (as of Dec 17, 2015) and encountered compilation errors.

Is there a compatibility matrix for the version of mosquitto and libwebsocket that is known to compile and work?

Does mosquitto project publish this anywhere?

thx,

Vineet

Hi there,

This would have been better asked on the mosquitto list. Having said that, my answer is that mosquitto works with all currently released versions of libwebsockets since their 1.2 version, i.e. up to 1.5. It isn't realistic to expect that it works against unreleased development code I'm afraid. As it happens libwebsockets has been undergoing a big change in the api so it is no surprise you are having problems.

Cheers,

Roger

Thank you. Yes, it was not a good idea to pull it off of HEAD.

Now I am able to compile and run mosquitto-1.4.5 with libwebsockets-1.5.
