Apparently a picture is not worth a thousand words! I posted this 3 times and it failed to show up 3 times. I guess you guys even filter out things with small dialog boxes. Geeze!

Going to http://get.adobe.com/reader/ to get the latest Acrobat Reader causes the following dialog to be displayed. OK'ing the dialog causes Firefox to crash! Even in safe mode!
getPlus(R): Error

Operating system error! (15235.202.207)
Anybody got a solution?

Interestingly if I switch to IE (Well IE Tab that is) it works!

Why is the third hand on the watch called the second hand?

You can't search wording in a picture, so the original posters need
show the exact wording in the first place so that others can search
either in searching for own answers or in helping solve a problem.

First you get warning just below toolbars:
"Firefox prevented this site (get.adobe.com) from asking you to install software on your computer" [Allow]
which I allowed then allowed extensions from unknown authors, no problem except for the fact
that I don't want the Adobe plug-in so I disabled it.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.0.7) Gecko/2009021910 Firefox/3.0.7 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

extensions.checkUpdateSecurity to False (bug: 378216 )

Google search: firefox getPlus(R): Error

That may be but disallowing the question entirely seems to me to be the wrong answer.

Actually I don't. Perhaps I allowed Adobe long ago...

Actually I used IE (tab) to get it. I was just reporting the crash. Thought people might want to know about it.

Use Foxit - it's free and uses less resources than Adobe.
