I just filed
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1264928
Because I care. I periodically visit
mozillians.org. About once a month.
And signing in wouldn't be such a pain if I could only remember which email
address I'm suppose to use. (Is it peterbe@m.c or pbengtsson@m.c or
ma...@peterbe.com?)
What is the reason and logic behind having a cookie that does NOT last for
eons?
Understandably, if the stuff that is behind the sign-in is uber-sensitive
(e.g. your bank or your lastpass admin) then you want to use every trick in
the book to avoid accidents, like not realizing you have not signed out on
a Internet cafe computer.
Also, what special tricks do the likes of Facebook.com employ to have super
long lasting cookies?
