Hi all,
I’ve written a new content kit — "Working with HTML5 Video: Adding captions and subtitles”[0]. One purpose of this was to take the content kit template[1] for a test drive, and see how long a content kit might take to create, with a feasibility study in mind for having Mozilla fellows include a content kit as part of their deliverables.
Please have a look at the content kit and let me know what you think. It includes:
1. A detailed content kit index.
2. A slide deck for presenting on the topic.
3. A series of code directories to show a demo at various stages of completion.
4. A tutorial to show how to build up the demo, and how it works, as an optional piece in case the presenter wants to run a min workshop on the subject too.
5. An updated stylesheet to provide some nicer styling than the original content kit template had available to it.
I have made a few changes to the content kit template, to improve clarity a bit, but I’ve not pushed the updated stylesheet back to that repo or anything. I wanted to see what you thought first before doing so.
In addition to this other work, I also wrote a guide to creating a content kit[2], which I thought might also be useful. Again, let me know what you think.
All the best,
Chris Mills
