Hi,

If I download the today's nightly, open it and then do right-click on
the tab, the contextual menu shows the following string, untranslated:

"Open in new non-e10s window"

I checked eo, es-AR and fr. They all show the English text. I cannot
find it in Pontoon, or Transvision.

Eduardo.

That's not a string that appears outside of Nightly, and it's destined
for removal soon since e10s is going to become the standard.

It's also been there for a while, not sure if your system/profile wasn't
eligible for e10s before.

A user reported it as untranslated and then some members of the
localization team then tried to find it and couldn't. Ok. I will tell
the reporter and the team that it is untranslatable.

That happened some weeks ago with the dialog to save credit card
information. So the question is: is it normal for nightly to show
untranslatable strings in the main UI every now and then?

I ask because I'm a fairly new Nightly full-time user (thanks to the
hackathon :)) and I don't want to ask everytime I see something that
cannot be translated if that's something expectable in Nightly.

Eduardo.

It's normal to see untranslated strings, even if your language is up to
date in Pontoon, because they're not available for translation yet
(that's due to quarantine, tools are at least 2/3 days behind).

In this specific cycle, Pontoon still doesn't have the strings for 58,
we should have them by the end of the week.

As for hard coded strings, those two are the only cases I'm aware of
(Form Autofill, some e10s strings), unless I'm forgetting something.

In case you see something that looks hard coded, better to ask, because
it might just be a bug.
