Hi,
This is just a reminder to keep an eye on Bugzilla for your locale.

*Watch Your Component*
Each localization has a component in the "Mozilla Localizations" product.

You can follow a component, which means you'll get an email when someone
files a bug for your locale.

1) Go in Preferences
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/userprefs.cgi

2) Select Component Watching in the sidebar, select "Mozilla
Localizations" from the product dropdown, select your language in the
Component list, then Add.
At the bottom of the page you'll see the list of components you're
already watching

*Triage and close your bugs*
Way too often I see bugs that are fixed but never closed. Please keep an
eye on your list, ideally you should not have open bugs.

if the bug is an actual bug, mark it as NEW.
If the bug is fixed, mark it as RESOLVED - FIXED.
If it's incomplete or lacking information, RESOLVED - INCOMPLETE.
If it's not a bug, and everything works for you, RESOLVED - WORKSFORME.

If you're an active localizer, or locale leader, and can't make these
changes in Bugzilla, please ping us on IRC or send an email, and we'll
check your permissions.

*Unconfirmed bugs*
When a new user signs up on Bugzilla, their bugs are "unconfirmed".
Sadly, component watching won't send you an email in that case.

How can you fix that? Search for incomplete bugs in your localization.

1) Click search and then the "Advanced search" tab
2) Select "Mozilla Localizations" as product, and your locale as "Component"
3) Select UNCONFIRMED as status and then press Search

Example for Greek:
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/buglist.cgi?list_id=13234838&resolution=---&query_format=advanced&bug_status=UNCONFIRMED&component=el%20%2F%20Greek&product=Mozilla%20Localizations

4) At the bottom of the results page, you have a "REMEMBER SEARCH"
button, with a field. You can save this search, for example as
"Unconfirmed bugs". You'll find a link at the bottom of each Bugzilla
page. Check it for time to time.

I looked into open Arabic bugs, almost all of them are Firefox OS bugs
and so should be closed but I can’t close or change the status of any of
them. Anyway, I think all Firefox OS l10n bugs should be batch closed
somehow.

Khaled

I'll get back to you on the bug permissions as soon as possible (a lot
of people traveling these days).

I receive email for unconfirmed bugs in my locale, but I watch the
component's user and not the component. (since component watching did
not exist when I set it up.) I watch the user with username
"da...@localization.bugs". Note that you have to uncheck the boxes in
Email Preferences next to the line "but not when: The bug is in the
UNCONFIRMED state".

Hi Jesper,
That's definitely a good point, with some caveats.

1) Not all locales have such an alias, the Danish one was created in
this bug, for example Italian doesn't have one
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332461

Given that it was used as a replacement for Component Watching, we
definitely should not create more of these.

2) As far as I can tell (but I could be wrong), you get an email only if
the alias is assigned as Default assignee or QA Contact for that bug,
and most locales don't have a value set for those fields (Danish
included at the moment).

Well, I am watching both the component and the alias, and since you say
the alias is not assigned as default qa contact any more, I must be
receiving the email notifications because I am watching the component.
Which means you can receive email notifications for unconfirmed bugs in
watched components.
