Northern Fall (Southern Spring) Product L10n Status Update

Hi everyone,
*tl;dr: Northern Fall/Southern Spring (Fx42 & fennec42) release has only
seen 60% of locales complete sign offs. Now that Fx42 is in Beta, Beta
projects have been enabled in Pootle and Pontoon. Please complete your
Fx42 sign off by 21 October, at the very latest. If you don't know if
your localization signed off Fx42, contact us.*
As you all know, Firefox 42 is a big deal. It's the last of our major
releases for the year! It's one of the two times per year where we make
a big effort to showcase your work and attract new users to Firefox
around the globe. In order to keep these users around, it's very
important that we may a good first impression. Localization has a lot to
do with that, so it's especially important to be sure that we ship the
most localized products possible during these releases.
For the Northern Spring release (Firefox 38), we saw 82% of all locales
shipping a signed off update for Firefox desktop and 87% of all locales
shipping a signed off update for Fennec. Amazing! This was the most
up-to-date localized versions of Firefox and Fennec that we've ever
shipped and was a big win for users around the world!
For the Southern Spring release (Firefox 42), we're only at 60% of all
locales shipping a signed off update for Firefox desktop and Fennec. A
really big thank you to all of you who have completed localization work
and signed off while 42 was in Aurora!
Firefox 42 is now in Beta. Because we want to be sure we're shipping as
many sign-offs as possible, Firefox Beta projects have been enabled on
both Pootle and Pontoon to help you complete your localizations for
Fx42. The sign-off review period for Beta closes on 21 October. Please
take the necessary time between now and then to complete localization
for 42, test it, and sign off. Let's make this major release the version
with the highest localization coverage yet!
