Hey everyone,

First, thank you for your fantastic work with Firefox for iOS v1!

Second, iOS v1.1 is now available for localization! Here's the main info
you need to get started:

* String freeze export was Tuesday, 22 September.
* You have until *12 October *(3 weeks) to complete translation of
strings, test, and sign-off on your localizations to ship in v1.1.
* Daily l10n builds are available to all localizers with LDAP accounts
from https://people.mozilla.org/iosbuilds/l10n.html . If you can
test on a device, but don't have an LDAP account, talk to me.
* On the last week of the l10n cycle, we'll file a v1.1 sign-off bug
for your locale. In order to ship your localization in v1.1, you
must resolve/close the sign-off bug.

Localization for this version will have some improvements in the l10n
process from v1, as well as a few changes.

* Daily l10n builds have notifications that ask you to update when a
new build is available.
* We're string frozen, but not feature complete. This means that you
will be able to translate all of the strings for this version now,
but will have to wait until the feature is turned on in the builds
to test your translations in context. Stefan, from the iOS team, and
the l10n-drivers will communicate when these are turned on as soon
as possible on this mailing list, as well as provide you with a
brief test plan for that feature.
* You must update your devices to iOS 9 in order to test these new
v1.1 features. If you've been building your own localizations using
xcode for testing, you must update to xcode 7.
* The iOS team is determining the best way to take automated l10n
screenshots of Firefox for iOS (see
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1205015 ). The plan is
to host these screenshots somewhere for anyone without a device to
still be able to perform l10n testing. We'll keep you informed as we
learn more about the progress here.

We're very excited to continue shipping a fully localized Firefox on
iOS. If you have questions about any part of this, please feel free to ask.

Thanks,
Jeff
