Firefox 40 is now available as a free download for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux, and Android from http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/new/.
We recommend that users keep up to date with the newest version of Firefox for the latest features and fixes.
This release includes changes such as:
- Support for Windows 10 including a refreshed theme and OS integrated search that respects the user’s choice of search engine
- Improved scrolling, graphics, and video playback performance with off main thread compositing (GNU/Linux only)
- Support for Android Presentation API for screen casting
