Hello,

I just got my 2 mini's, very nice hardware and seam to work as advertised, however I do not have a "cloud backup" option in the mooltipass application.
All the rest seams to work fine, I however uses mainly firefox and had chromium , not chrome installed.

So, things done on linux:
Had already https://github.com/limpkin/mooltiapp/releases/download/v2.0.78/MooltiApp_2.0.78_amd64.deb and firefox extension installed
Removed chromium completely
Installed Chrome from latest deb from google.
Added the Mooltipass Chrome Extension (not chrome app) from https://www.themooltipass.com/setup
Logged in Chrome with my google account, double checked in settings that i was signed into chrome and the advanced sync settings are set to (the default) "sync everything" .
Then tested the " Sync FileSystem Sample" found in the chrome webstore - this works fine.
Left chrome open, closed and opened the mooltipass app - no cloud backup option
Rebooted and tested again chrome etc, all fine but no joy for mooltipass app

In case it helps current linux setup:
Mooltipass Mini (v1.2 #1983)
Linux mint 18.1 Mate 4.4.0-75 kernel
Mooltiapp 64bit for debian https://github.com/limpkin/mooltiapp/releases/download/v2.0.78/MooltiApp_2.0.78_amd64.deb
Google chrome Version 58.0.3029.96 (64-bit) - latest stable
Mooltipass Chrome Extension  1.1.77

I tested above then also on windows 10 pro 64bit system, just to make sure it was a linux thing (no chromium there - I simply installed chrome) ,
This system had no mooltipass installed before, so I installed the 64bit win app and the chrome extension all fresh.
Made again sure the chrome "sync everything" options where ticked , that i was signed into chrome and tested the again on windows the" Sync FileSystem Sample" found in the chrome webstore - this works fine.
But to my surprise it also gives no "cloud" backup option in the mooltipass app on windows

How does the mooltipass app "cloud" option roughly works?
it needs chrome installed and logged in I assume?
Does chrome need to run?
It needs the chrome extension?
anything else I can check?

Regards,
Gunther

Hello Gunther,

You are indeed right: cloud synchronization is only available in the chrome app and not in mooltiapp: this is something we're currently working on. We should indeed make this clearer in our user manual.

We'll try to get this implemented as soon as possible!
Sorry for the wait,
Mathieu
