Mooltipass Firefox Extension (win7sp1 x64 i7) test

ok... this is my full report on the firefox extention 1.5.1 and moollticute 0.5.1

on firefox v50.1.0

so what is working :

multicute open

see the mooltipass, ask to unlock : then ready

device setting tab:
keyboard layout : still no french canadian keyboard  (accent from french keyboard with a qwerty layout)... annoying.. put false character sometime if you use canadian english keyboard (en_c) or french keyboard (fr_fr)

credentials tab:
enter memory management mode (infinite loop - wait for device confirmation - nothing on the mooltipass)
add new credential -



now on the firefox extention :

select custom credential field  - seem to work

settings - do nothing

open mooltipass app - do nothing


from the mooltipass - if a login is already in it AND you click on the right field (name or password) it woork as as standard keyboard emulator

no detection of any name/password field whatever website i try...even if i try to use the 'select custom credential field' and registered the right fields before reloading the page

About the layout: could you tell me exactly which keys are problematic? We spent a very long while making sure this would be exact.

credentials tab: did you make sure the chrome app isn't running at the same time?

settings: I have reported this to our developer.

detection fields: could you tell us in details your computer configuration? This may be linked to the fact that the chrome app is still running

bon je vais le faire en français car malgré que je sois canadien, l'anglais me fatigue... et pour une fois que le produit est d'origine française...

j'ai désinstallé chrome il y a longtemps (il y a comme un problème à être suffisamment parano pour utiliser un gestionnaire hardware de mot de passe .. avec un produit de 'evil' google..) je l'ai réinstalle avec les extension que j'ai ensuite désinstallé proprement pour être sur qu'il ne restait pas un exe derrière (si c'est le cas, je ne vois pas ou il est...)

et je maintiens que si je rentre dans 'enter memory management mode', j'ai une boucle infinie qui reste bloqué sur 'wait for device confirmation' avec aucune réaction du mooltipass - le seul moyen d'en sortir et de faire un 'restart' du daemon (click droit sur icone moolticute barre de tache)

au passage j'ai oublié de signaler que les fonction de la tabulation 'synchronisation' ne fonctionne pas non plus.. que je clique sur 'import' ou export file.. rien ne se passe..

et si ça peut aider, mon mooltipass est un 'première generation kickstarter' avec firmware d'origine (je n'ai jamais reçu de communication s'il avait évolué...)


pour l’extension firfox... j'ai aussi désactivé mes autres extensions (ublock origine et karspersky protection) pour etre sur qu'il n'y a pas de problemes d'effet de bord entre eux..

la ou ça devient amusant :  si j'essaye de clicker sur 'settings' alors que l'extention est dans la barre des menu .. il ne se passe rien
MAIS si je drag-and-drop la ligne 'settings' de l’icône de l'extension dans la fenetre principale de firefox : tous les menus de l'extension apparaissent dans la fenêtre de navigation ET settings fonctionne..

Having no reaction from the mooltipass in indeed very odd. I'll investigate today and will get back to you.

On a fresh install on a new computer on the original Mooltipass I was able to enter memory management mode.

Raoul, could you tell our tester how to get some debug information to send it to us later?
