MongoDB 3.5.5 is ready for testing. As a reminder, 3.5.5 is a development release and is not intended for production use. The 3.5 series will evolve into 3.6, which will be for production.

​This release includes the following features:

New Aggregation Expressions

Three new aggregation expressions have been added in this release:


Hardening Against Deeply Nested Documents

MongoDB 3.5.5 includes additional safeguards and error messages to help users detect if their schemas contain deeply nested documents.


Improved Support For Rollback

MongoDB 3.5.5 addresses a number issues in rollback algorithms

, making ​replica sets more resilient.
