MongoDB 3.5.8 is released

MongoDB 3.5.8 has been released. As a reminder, 3.5.8 is a development release and is not intended for production use. The 3.5 series will evolve into 3.6, which will be for production.

New/fixed in this release:
  • SERVER-20092 Add ability for DocumentSourceCursor to coalesce with a $project stage if it is doing an equivalent projection
  • SERVER-21754 CursorManager Lock is very hot
  • SERVER-23516 Using apt-get update chowns user to mongodb
  • SERVER-26990 Unify tracking of secondary state between replication and topology coordinators
  • SERVER-28042 log when a node marks another node as down
  • SERVER-28924 Change databasesCloner to use the "nameOnly" version of listDatabases
  • SERVER-29090 Nodes should provide more information on why they reject a vote
