MongoDB 4.0.0-rc6 is out and is ready for testing. This is the culmination of the 3.7.x development series, and includes many exciting new features. For more details about the features included in MongoDB 4.0, please see the announcement of the first release candidate. Fixed in this release candidate:

  • SERVER-34977 subtract capped deletes from fastcount during replication recovery

  • SERVER-35271 4.0 rc0 upgrade from 3.6.5 logs "unsupported WiredTiger file version" error

  • SERVER-35401 Whole-db and whole-cluster change streams do not filter operations to "system" collections

  • SERVER-35569 reIndex should take a Global exclusive lock instead of just Database

  • SERVER-35584 Increase replication rollback time limit

  • SERVER-35604 Acquire Global IX before preallocating a multi-document transaction snapshot

  • SERVER-35615 AsyncDBClient should parse isMaster response before calling validateHost
