MongoDB 3.5.9 has been released. As a reminder, 3.5.9 is a development release and is not intended for production use. The 3.5 series will evolve into 3.6, which will be for production.

New/fixed in this release:
  • SERVER-9406 Allow treating ObjectId type as date in $project phase
  • SERVER-20066 Query planner should consider index scans on empty query predicates
  • SERVER-27347 Only close idle cached cursors on the WiredTiger ident that is busy
  • SERVER-29037 Log new replica set config when replSetReconfig command arrives
  • SERVER-29073 Allow variable definition within $lookup
