Does MongoDB community consider new storage engine for emergine new nonvolatile memeries?

What optimizations do you seek? I think WiredTiger and RocksDB are likely to do good or better on it.

AFAIK such HW cannot be purchased today so it might be difficult to develop something for it and even harder to find customers today.

You might want to take a look here:

This specific Storage Engine uses NVML libraries to ensure persistence and consistency of the data put on the persistent memories.

P.S.
It's still under development, so not everything is fully functional.
