Hi All,

Does C++ mongoDb support asynchronous  API? If no is there any plans to add asyncrhonous API support for it?

Regards
Sanjay

Sanjay,

C++ Driver CXX-344  - Asynchronous (event driven) Driver

I know JAVA implements it but I don't recall ever hearing  that CXX ( and defiantly not legacy) would support it.

Hi -

At this time we do not have any efforts underway to build an asynchronous interface for C++. As David says, we definitely would not do so for the legacy driver. An asynchronous interface to the C++11 driver is an ambition, but we want to ship the synchronous interface first. We are also watching with interest to see what emerges from the C++ standardization process with respect to support for asynchronous programming.

Thanks,
Andrew
