Hashed_id as shard key

hashed_id as a shard key relative to unhashed_id. What are the things that apply? Increased security due to Hashing  Range queries may be less efficient  Inserts on auto-generated object'ids will be distributed across shards

I would recommend to review MongoDB hashed sharding and hashed vs ranged sharding in the manual to learn more about hashed keys.
