MongoDB 3.6.0-rc5 is out and is ready for testing. This is the culmination of the 3.5.x development series. 


Fixed in this release candidate:

  • SERVER-27814  Make timestamp logging format consistent
  • SERVER-30779  Investigate performance degradation in Causal Consistency enabled benchmark
  • SERVER-31354  Support driver API for changeStreams in the shell
  • SERVER-31476  Prohibit establishing a $changeStream cursor on a read-only view
  • SERVER-31836  Explicit maxTimeMS blocks tailable awaitData cursors on sharded cluster
  • SERVER-31890  Dotted expression with expressive lookup don't get expanded
  • SERVER-31909  Recipient shard should fail migration if it already has the collection with a different UUID
  • SERVER-32051  Require shard servers and config servers to be replica sets
  • WT-3745       Don't stall reads due to write pressure
  • WT-3746       Don't busy wait when syncing the log and waiting for writes to complete
  • WT-3752       WiredTiger can walk long update chains for hot rows.
